Starting 3rd July 2024, brace yourselves for some surprising changes in Reliance Jio’s tariff structure. Jio has announced significant hikes across its popular prepaid and postpaid plans. But don’t worry, it’s not all bad news! They are also launching two exciting new applications, JioSafe and JioTranslate, free for a year to all Jio users.
The postpaid plans are also more expensive. The Rs 299 plan that provided 30GB of data is now priced at Rs 349 for the billing cycle. The Rs 399 plan with 75GB of data is now priced at Rs 449.
Reliance Jio is also bringing two new apps to the table: JioSafe: This quantum-secure communication app offers safe calling, messaging, and file transfers. Normally priced at Rs 199 per month, it will be free for Jio users for the first year. JioTranslate: An AI-powered multilingual app for translating voice calls, messages, texts, and images. Usually costing Rs 99 per month, this too will be free for a year.
Akash M Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, emphasized, “These new plans represent our commitment to innovation and sustainable growth, especially with our investments in 5G and AI technology. High-quality, affordable internet is crucial for a Digital India, and Reliance Jio is honored to contribute to this vision. We will continue to prioritize our country and customers by investing in India.” So, there you have it!
