iPhone 15 Pro
Apple’s Latest Flagship iPhones: iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, Available September 22.
In September 2023, Apple launched its new high-end smartphones, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. These top-of-the-line phones are available alongside the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The iPhone 15 Pro models come with extra features not found in the standard iPhone 15, such as advanced camera tech, improved displays, a faster A17 chip, and more.
These iPhone 15 Pro models come in the same 6.1 and 6.7-inch sizes as the previous iPhone 14 Pro models, and they share a similar design. However, there are some noteworthy changes.
Instead of using stainless steel, Apple opted for a new titanium alloy frame, also used in spacecraft. They also introduced new titanium color options like white, black, natural, and blue.
Titanium is lighter than stainless steel, making the iPhone 15 Pro models lighter than their iPhone 14 Pro predecessors.
In September 2023, Apple introduced its new high-end phones, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. These phones offer more advanced features than the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, including better cameras, displays, and faster processors.
Design-wise, the iPhone 15 Pro models have a frame made of lightweight titanium alloy, which is also used in spacecraft. They come in new colors like white, black, natural, and blue. The front is still protected by Apple’s strong Ceramic Shield glass.
The display is the same Super Retina XDR with Always-On technology and a smooth 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a resolution of 2796×1290, while the iPhone 15 Pro has a resolution of 2556×1179.
Instead of the usual Lightning port, these models have a USB-C port that offers fast data transfer and charging. You can use the same USB-C cable to charge your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. They also support 15W MagSafe charging and wireless Qi2 charging.
There’s a new customizable Action button that replaces the mute switch. It can be set to perform various functions, like opening the camera or turning on the flashlight.
The main camera has been upgraded to 48 megapixels, improving low-light performance and image quality. Portrait photos are now taken automatically when a person or pet is in the frame. Night mode and Smart HDR have been enhanced for better image quality.
A new Ultrawide camera lets in more light, and there’s a 5x Telephoto lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Optical image stabilization has been improved.
The A17 Pro chip is faster, with a redesigned GPU and improved CPU performance. It supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing for gaming and has a dedicated AV1 decoder for efficient video streaming.
These models can connect to external storage for 4K video recording and support Log encoding used by filmmakers.
The second-generation Ultra Wideband chip extends the connectivity range and enhances features like Precision Finding in Find My Friends. Wi-Fi 6E and Thread support are included.
Emergency SOS via Satellite now offers Emergency Roadside Assistance via Satellite, allowing you to get help in areas without cellular or Wi-Fi signals.
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are set to be available on September 22, with pre-orders starting on September 15.
