Indian Navy :
Amid escalating tensions, the Indian Navy has issued a strong caution to Pakistan and terror outfits operating from its territory, asserting that its warships remain on high alert in a “deterrent posture.” The Navy confirmed its readiness to respond decisively to any hostile actions initiated by the neighbouring nation.
Sharing images of its warships navigating the seas, the Navy posted on X (formerly Twitter), underlining its combat preparedness. This announcement followed a high-level briefing by the Director Generals of Operations from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, who presented conclusive evidence of the success of India’s precision strike mission—‘Operation Sindoor’.

Indian Navy’s Swift Response Post-Pahalgam Attack
Following the brutal killing of 26 tourists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22, allegedly orchestrated by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists, India launched targeted strikes on terror camps in Pakistan on May 7.
Responding with urgency, the Indian Navy confirmed that its Carrier Battle Group, along with surface ships, submarines, and aviation assets, were deployed at sea in a high state of combat readiness. This swift mobilisation was executed in alignment with a joint operational plan of the Indian Armed Forces.
“In the aftermath of the cowardly attacks on innocent Indian tourists at Pahalgam on April 22, the Indian Navy’s Carrier Battle Group, surface forces, submarines, and aviation units were rapidly positioned in combat mode,” the Navy stated on X.
The Navy added that within just 96 hours of the terror strike, it carried out multiple weapon firings in the Arabian Sea. These exercises served to test and fine-tune naval tactics and procedures, while also validating the combat preparedness of the crew, systems, and weaponry for precision strikes on designated targets.

India Bolsters Coastal Surveillance Amid Rising Regional Tensions
In response to increasing security challenges along its western and maritime borders, India has significantly strengthened its coastal defence and surveillance mechanisms. The Indian Coast Guard and Navy have jointly deployed advanced maritime reconnaissance aircraft, UAVs, and warships across strategic chokepoints in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.
According to defence sources, coastal radars have been upgraded to extend their reach, and coordination with coastal police and intelligence agencies has been intensified to detect any suspicious activity. This proactive approach follows a series of escalations including drone incursions and attempted infiltrations from Pakistan, as well as rising maritime activity by non-state actors.
Reworded Version:
Signalling a strong warning of potential retaliation, the Indian Navy emphasized its preparedness to launch precision strikes if provoked by Pakistan. In an assertive statement, the Navy noted:
“The Indian Navy maintained an advanced deployment in the Northern Arabian Sea, strategically positioned in a deterrent and dissuasive stance. With full operational readiness to hit specific targets both at sea and onshore, the Navy’s presence effectively forced Pakistani naval and aerial units into a defensive mode, restricting them to their harbours or keeping them close to the coastline.”
