BSF : J&K’s Samba
In a significant counter-infiltration operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) successfully neutralized a major terror threat along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district during the night of May 8-9, 2025. The operation led to the elimination of at least seven heavily armed terrorists attempting to cross into Indian territory.

According to BSF sources, the infiltration attempt was being orchestrated from the Pakistan-side outpost at Dhandhar, which also suffered substantial damage as Indian forces responded with decisive force.
“This was a well-coordinated infiltration attempt backed by elements across the border. Our alert troops not only thwarted the intrusion but also inflicted heavy losses, including significant damage to Pakistan Post Dhandhar,” a senior BSF official confirmed.
The operation marks one of the most impactful responses in recent months, reaffirming the BSF’s preparedness and vigilance along the volatile border sector.
India Strikes Back: BSF Foils Infiltration
Amid escalating hostilities along the western border, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Indian Army have taken decisive action in response to a series of ceasefire violations, drone incursions, and attempted terror attacks originating from Pakistan.
On the night of May 8–9, 2025, BSF troops successfully repelled a major infiltration attempt in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba sector, neutralizing at least seven terrorists and inflicting severe damage on the Pakistan-based Dhandhar post suspected of facilitating the intrusion. The operation occurred in the wake of intensified cross-border threats, underscoring the volatile security environment.
Simultaneously, under the ambit of Operation Sindoor, the Indian Armed Forces launched precision strikes targeting training camps and hideouts of the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror outfit. These retaliatory actions were carried out following JeM’s confirmed role in the heinous killing of 26 tourists in Pahalgam on April 22.
BSF : Army Responds to Cross-Border Attacks Amid Rising Tensions
The infiltration bid by JeM operatives—reportedly supported by Pakistan Rangers—coincided with attempted attacks in multiple Indian regions including Jammu, Pathankot, and Jaisalmer.
According to an official statement from the Indian Army, “Pakistan Armed Forces initiated a coordinated offensive along the entire western border, employing drones and munitions during the intervening night of May 8 and 9. Numerous ceasefire violations were also recorded along the Line of Control (LoC) in J&K.” The Indian military confirmed that all drone threats were neutralized and strong retaliatory action was taken against ceasefire breaches.
The Indian Army reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to national security, vowing that any hostile designs would be met with decisive force to protect India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
India on High Alert as Western Border Heats Up: Army & BSF Intensify Counter-Terror Ops
India is currently navigating one of the most tense periods along its western frontier in recent years, with heightened alertness following a coordinated surge in cross-border aggression from Pakistan. Intelligence sources suggest that the recent spike in infiltration bids, drone activity, and ceasefire violations is part of a calculated escalation by Pakistani state and non-state actors, intended to disrupt stability in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the summer pilgrimage season.
The BSF’s recent operation in Samba, which eliminated seven Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) infiltrators, is being viewed as part of a larger counter-offensive posture adopted by Indian security forces. Notably, the operation comes just weeks after India’s intelligence agencies intercepted chatter indicating that terror outfits were planning high-profile attacks targeting civilians and security forces alike.
